A 5-minute walk from Shimono-Osawa Station, the lovely Nikko Suginamiki Youth Hostel offers Japanese and Western lodging, free Wi-Fi and bicycle rentals. Massage chairs and a garden offer relaxation, while free coffee is available during the day. Japanese rooms offer traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor, while Western rooms are carpeted and have beds or bunks. All rooms come with TV, air conditioning and heating. Bathroom facilities are shared. Youth Hostel Suginamiki Nikko features drinks vending machines, coin-operated laundry facilities and free parking. Shared bathroom facilities are separate per gender, and include showers, toiletries and a rock-lined bath. There is a Kendo hall on-site, and guests are welcome to see trainings. A Japanese breakfast and dinner are served at the dining area. Nikko Suginamiki Youth Hostel is a 30-minute drive from the famed Shinkyo Bridge, and a 40-minute drive from Chuzenji Lake. A shuttle is available to/from Shimono-Osawa Station at a charge.
