Japanese-style rooms offer beautiful views of the area, which was a favourite retreat of famous writer Soseki Natsume. The New Yashio Hotel is a 20-minute walk from the Fukuwata Onsen Jinja Shrine. It’s a 30-minute drive from Yuri Park, while JR Nishi-Nasu Train Station is a 40-minute drive. Air-conditioned rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor, traditional futon bedding and a seating area. They are fitted with a TV, a fridge and an attached bathroom, while amenities include yukata robes, toiletries and complimentary green tea. For lunch, as well as for dinner, the restaurant caters a buffet with a selection of Japanese and Western food.
