This hotel is housed together with the Hekla Centre, a tourist and exhibition centre about the neighbouring Mount Hekla volcanic area. It offers free private parking and free access to a sauna and geothermal hot tubs. Modern and light wooden furnishings, as well as a work desk and seating area are featured in each Hotel Leirubakki guest room. Some include views of the volcano. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas of the hotel. Traditional Icelandic cuisine, such as trout and lamb dishes, is served in the in-house restaurant. During nice weather, guests can enjoy Leirubakki Hotel’s terrace and garden. Area activities include horseback riding on site and fishing in Lake Ytri- Rangá, 5 km away. During the summer months a daily bus is organised to the highlands of Landmannalaugar.
