Just 10 minutes by car from the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall, Golden Circle Backpackers is also just 15 km from the famous Geysir geyser. Guests have access to a shared kitchen and a garden area. A local chef can prepare meals for guests on request, while breakfasts are always served each morning in spacious dining room. A sofa area can also be found in the dining room for relaxation. Guest rooms at Golden Circle Backpackers have a simple décor with shared bathroom facilities and views over the surrounding landscapes. An activities company is affiliated to the hostel and offers river rafting trips on the Hvítá River, as well as diving trips in the crystal clear waters of the Silfra fissure. The villages of Reykholt and Fludir are approximately 10 minutes’ drive away, while Reykjavik is 100 km from the property.
