This family-run guest house is 10 minutes’ drive from the village of Hvolsvöllur in southern Iceland. It offers free Wi-Fi, rooms with a mountain view of Eyjafjallajökull, along with free use of outdoor hot tubs. The bright, simply decorated rooms at Hellisholar Guesthouse all have a washbasin and desk. Bathroom facilities are shared. Guests can enjoy Hellisholar’s restaurant that serves a daily breakfast buffet, packed lunches and an à la carte dinner. The guest house also has laundry facilities, a playground and a bar with karaoke equipment. On-site activities include 2 golf courses, trout fishing in a neighbouring lake and hiking paths.
