From Ashton / Bonnievale:
- In Robertson after Klipdrift / Robertson Winery turn left toward McGregor.
- Follow the road until you cross the Breede River (2km).
- Keep left toward McGregor.
- After 9km start looking for a green road sign 'KONINGSRIVIER' and a brown tourism road sign indicating 'TROSSACHS'.
- Turn right at the signs into the gravel road (sharp turn).
- Follow the road until T-junction.
- Turn left and follow that road, Trossachs at your left, until you see Kingsriver Estate on your right.
