Set in the Robertson Wine Valley, this guest house is a Provincial Heritage Site in the 19th-century village of McGregor. Each suite leads onto a vine-covered terrace with views of the walled garden and circular fountain. The spacious suites at Fountain Place have a bedroom with fireplace and a separate lounge with sofa and minibar. All include antique furniture and a Victorian-style private bathroom. A full English or continental breakfast is served on the terrace or under the wooden ceiling of the dining room. Guests can also use the barbecue. Fountain Place Guesthouse is 20 km from Robertson and around 2.5 hours’ drive from Cape Town and its international airport. Guests can also hike the 20 km stretch to Greyton through the Boesmanskloof trails.

- From the main street (Voortrekker Street) take the road towards McGregor.
- Follow the road for about 22 km into McGregor.
- Pass the first road on the left and you will see several houses on both sides.
- After this you will see a group of shops on your left and on your right there is a sign for Fountain Place Guesthouse.
- Take the next right (Barry Street) and go to the end.
- Fountain Place is on the left on the corner of Barry and Mill Street.
