Nestled in the rolling hills of the Devonshire countryside, Aylescott Cottages provide self-catering accommodation just 15 minutes’ drive from the coast. Pets are welcome on request and each cottage has a patio terrace to enjoy the country air. The cottages are converted stone barns and feature original beams in some rooms. Inside, there is a fully-equipped kitchen and a lounge area with a 32 inch flat-screen TV. Bedrooms are decorated individually in light tones, and the outside patio areas have sun umbrellas and garden furniture. Aylescott’s surrounding gardens contain coppiced woodland and 2 small lakes, perfect for relaxed picnics. West Down village is a 15-minute stroll away along a country lane, where guests can find a village shop and tea rooms. Ilfracombe’s popular harbour is 15 minutes’ drive away, and the town is home to pubs, restaurants and cinemas. The famous Pannier Indoor Market in Barnstaple is just under 20 minutes’ drive from the cottages.
