With a 4-star rating from Visit Scotland, the pretty Struan House B&B is found on Tarbert’s peaceful harbour-side. With beautiful views across the water to the hills beyond, Struan House provides free Wi-Fi and has its own attractive quayside restaurant, Scott’s Bistro. Each room has a TV, alarm clock and tea and coffee facilities. A full Scottish breakfast has bacon, free range eggs, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms and tomatoes, as well as black pudding or haggis. There is a vegetarian breakfast too, and fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast and porridge. The breakfast room overlooks the harbour where you can watch the fishing boats pass by. The bistro serves a wide range of dishes including locally caught seafood, pasta and homemade pizza. Tarbert’s shops, pubs and amenities are within a short walk, including the ferry terminal just 15 minutes away.
