This luxury lodge offers thatched-roof accommodation with a wooden deck overlooking the Groot Marico River in Madikwe Game Reserve. It features a natural rock pool and a boma lounge with open roof for star gazing. All of the individually decorated rooms include a private bathroom with free toiletries, air conditioning and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. Each has a separate split-level furnished living area. Madikwe River Lodge’s buffet restaurant with surrounding wooden terrace serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Special dietary meals, bush dinners and packed lunches can be arranged on request. A variety of activities including Big Five game drives and bird watching are available from Madikwe. Massage facilities are offered on site. An airstrip is located next to the lodge and Sir Seretse Khama International Airport is located a 2-hour drive away in Botswana.

Informace o cestě
From Johannesburg International Airport:
- Follow the R21 north to Pretoria (Tshwane) through Kempton Park.
- After aproximately 40 km follow N1 north to Pretoria (Tshwane) and Pietersburg (Polokwane).
- From the N1 travel approximately 12 km and take the N4 west into Pretoria (Tshwane), to Rustenburg or Hartebeespoort/dam.
- Follow the N4 through Pretoria for approximately 60 km to Hartebeespoort/dam.
- From Hartebeespoort, follow the N4 to Rustenburg for approximately 30km.
- Continue on the R556 to Sun City for approximately 94 km.
- Pass Sun City’s entrance (on your right-hand side) and the Sun Village garage and shopping centre. (It is recommended that you fill up with fuel at the Sun Village garage).
- Travel 5 km from Sun Village and turn right at the T-junction towards Derdepoort.
- Continue 10 km further and turn left towards Bapong.
- Continue on this road for approximately 40 km. (Do not turn off at the Madikwe Hospital sign!).
- At the 2nd crossroad stop sign turn right to Derdepoort.
- Travel 30 km on a gravel road that starts at the Dwarsberg. Approximately 15km after that turn right towards Derdeport.
- After 40km you will come to a crossroad stop sign and you turn left to the gate.
