Luxury 5-star Etali Safari Lodge is set in the Madikwe Game Reserve. Its pool with wooden deck and fine dining restaurant has views overlooking a water hole that offers Big 5 game viewing opportunities. All of the stylish accommodation is decorated in earthy tones and feature a private pool and large wooden balcony with views of the surrounding savanna. There is a spacious seating area and elegant marble bathroom. Traditional African dishes are fused with Asian influences using local organically grown vegetables, fruits and herbs. Guests have the option to dine in the restaurant, out on the terrace or in the bush. Etali has a spa that offers a range of treatments and there is a fitness centre on site. From Pretoria:
- Follow the N4 to Rustenburg, Swartruggens and then Zeerust;
From Johannesburg:
- Follow the R509 to Magaliesburg, Derby, Koster and Swartruggens;
- At Swartruggens, join the N4 to Zeerust.
From Zeerust:
- Turn right into President Street towards Gabarone Madikwe;
- Continue through small villages for 86 km and you will find the Abjaterskop gate on your right with flags and a big thatched roof;
- Inside the reserve follow the signs towards Derdepoort gate until you see the sign indicating you need to turn left to Etali;
- From here follow the Etali signs;
- Etali Safari Lodge is 36 km from the Abjatorskop gate.
