Located in the Ainokura World Heritage district, guests stay in a 200-year old Gassho-style thatched roof house at Gassho No Oyado Shoshichi. JR Johana Train Station is a 30-minute drive away. This is a non-smoking property. Rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. Due to the structure of the building, guests will have to go through other guests’ rooms to get to the bathroom and entrance. Photocopying and luggage storage services are available at the front desk and local souvenirs can also be purchased as well. Japanese dishes are served at the dining room, which has a traditional Irori hearth. Shoshichi Gassho No Oyado is about a 2-minute walk from Ainokura Folklore Museum and a 10-minute drive from Taira Ski Resort. Komatsu Airport is a 90-minute drive away. Smoking is prohibited in the village and sightseeing is not allowed in the early mornings or after dusk. Guests must take their own trash home and cannot enter privately-owned homes and fields without permission.
