It’s a 15-minute drive from Pilatus Snow Resort. The Onsen Suimeikaku Tateshina is a few steps from the serene Tateshina Lake. From JR Chino Station, it’s a 30-minute bus ride to the Tateshinako-Mae bus stop. The Suimeikaku Onsen hotel has a 24-hour front desk, which safety deposit of valuables and luggage storage. Facilities further include drinks vending machines, a souvenir shop and free parking. The hotel serves a traditional kaiseki multi-course dinner featuring local dishes, at the dining room. Rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor, a low table with seating cushions and traditional futon bedding. They’re fitted with an LCD TV, a fridge and a safe. Guests can recline in yukata robes at the seating area with chairs and a coffee table, to enjoy lake views with complimentary green tea.
