Accommodation is simple, with Japanese-style beds and shared bathrooms. Guests at Peace House Sakura sleep in air-conditioned rooms with a tatami (woven-straw) or wood floor, in traditional futon bedding. Towels and new linens are available for a fee. Toilets are shared. A 5-minute walk from Kiyomizu-Gojo Train Station, the hostel is a 20-minute bus ride from JR Kyoto Train Station. The historical Gion area is 2 km away. Bicycles can be rented for fun and easy exploration. A coin launderette and free-use internet PC are on site, and guests can store their luggage before the check-in time. A shared-use microwave, fridge, toaster and gas range are included in the kitchen. There is no curfew, though check-in hours are limited. Free coffee and tea are provided. No meals are served.
