Located in the heart of downtown Kyoto, Aoi Kyoto Stay provides 6 machiya Japanese townhouse accommodations in different locations. Guests at each townhouse can experience authentic lifestyle. Some houses were built about 100 years ago, and they have undergone renovations while preserving their original charm. Featuring a Japanese garden and many antiques items, 2-storey Aoi townhouses offers free Wi-Fi within the property. They are fitted with a large flat-screen TV, a DVD player and a humidifier. A kitchenette comes with a fridge and a microwave. All the townhouses include a large en suite bathroom and free toiletries. Breakfast meals with local vegetables and freshly baked bread can be delivered to the property at extra charge with a reservation made 3 days in advance. Alternatively guests can prepare their own meals in the kitchenette.

The authentic, wooden Japanese townhouses with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and antique décor will give you and your family a taste of the traditional Japanese lifestyle. For your convenience, modern amenities such as free WiFi, air conditioning/heating and a flat-screen TV with a DVD player are provided.
These charming, 2-storey townhouses come with a secluded Japanese garden. All are equipped with a kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave, a comfy seating area with a sofa, and a private bathroom with towels and free toiletries.
Bedrooms are fitted with futon mats or with beds. Most come with a view of the Takase River or the Kamo River.
You could easily spend your days visiting the nearby temples, exploring the hidden back alleys or dining at Kyoto’s finest restaurants. A variety of longstanding restaurants can be found within a 5-minute walk from the property. JR Kyoto Station is approximately a 10-minute taxi ride from each townhouse.
