Situated beside Western Europe’s largest man-made lake, YHA Kielder is surrounded by scenic forest and offers free private parking, an on-site licensed restaurant and local nature walks and cycle trails. A communal lounge is provided for guests to use and features a TV, seating area and board games. A garden is also available at YHA Kielder, as well as laundry facilities and a self-catering kitchen. Sailing, cruises and fishing can all be enjoyed on the lake of Kielder Water. Climbing, water sports and orienteering are some of the activities which can be enjoyed at Calvert Trust, which is a 15-minute drive away. Guests can also visit Kielder Observatory, which is just 2.5 miles away.
