All rooms are individually decorated and have with fresh flowers, a direct-dial telephone and a TV. The bathrooms come with Victorian roll-top baths or a shower. As well as a full Scottish breakfast including fresh home-laid eggs from the resident hens, guests can enjoy dinner each evening. Local seafood, game and meat as well as fresh herbs and vegetables from the hotel's own kitchen garden are used. Muir of Ord Railway Station is only 15 minutes’ walk from The Dower House, with services to Inverness, Thurso and Kyle of Lochalsh. There is free parking at the property.
