With freshly cooked breakfasts with home-made jams and local produce, Flowerdews B&B is set in charming, historic Winchester. Its rooms have free Wi-Fi, home-baked biscuits and there is also free parking. Stylish rooms at Flowerdews B&B each feature a flat-screen Freeview TV, a DVD player and free tea and coffee. Every modern shower room has lavender products from Long Barn in nearby Alresford. This family-run property offers home-made cakes on arrival and has an honesty bar in the lounge. Breakfast includes fresh fruit, smoked trout, omelettes or a full English, all served in the bright dining room. The Test and Itchen Rivers are both just a few minutes’ drive away and offer excellent fly fishing. One of Flowerdews' owners, Peter, can provide local fishing advice and knowledge. Impressive Winchester Cathedral is 1.5 miles away in the town centre. It is surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars.
