Woodpeckers is set in a lovely wooden-clad annexe just 10 minutes’ drive from the New Forest. The breakfast menu includes eggs from Woodpeckers’ free range hens. Village pubs and restaurants can be reached after 15 minutes’ walk along the quite country lanes. Pancakes with fresh fruit, homemade salmon fish cakes and wild mushroom and chestnut grills are also amongst the items available on the breakfast menu. Breakfast is served in the Farmhouse dining room. Mottisfont Abbey on the banks of the River test is within a 10-minute drive of this guest accommodation. Salisbury Cathedral, which has Britain’s tallest spire, is just 20 minutes’ drive away. A flat-screen TV with a DVD player is included in the lounge area, which leads onto a patio with BBQ facilities. Free Wi-Fi is accessible and there is also a private bathroom with a hairdryer and a selection of toiletries.
