Possibly the most remote B&B in central Dartmoor, the secluded Wydemeet has footpaths in every direction from the garden gate. Featuring a hot tub, free Wi-Fi, and free private parking, it is just 20 minutes' drive from the A38, which leads to both Exeter and Plymouth. Each room at Wydemeet features an en suite bathroom with luxury toiletries, Egyptian cotton, deep-pile carpets, antiques, and original watercolour paintings. Guests are welcomed with free hot drink and a piece of cake, or a glass of wine. Guests can also relax in the acre of gardens, on a sun lounger. Children are welcome to play on the trampoline and watch the Dartmoor ponies, sheep, and belted Galloway cattle roaming outside. Located in the wildest part of high Dartmoor, Wydemeet is in an area likable to the Highlands of Scotland. The property offers easy access to outdoor activities such as horse riding, kayaking, fishing, bird watching, and mountain climbing. The market town of Tavistock is a 25-minute drive from the B&B. Home to a famous prison, the village of Princetown is just 1 hour's walk away. The Forest Inn can be reached after a 20-minute stroll. Lunches at the Prince Hall Hotel can be enjoyed after a 45-minute countryside walk.
