In the charming Lake District village of Coniston, less than 0.5 miles from Coniston Water, The Crown Inn has a relaxed pub and bright rooms. Guests have free membership to a local health club with a pool. Traditionally styled, each room has high quality mattresses, a satellite TV and a private bathroom with a bath or shower. Free tea and coffee, a hairdryer and a telephone are also included. A menu of classic British dishes, including home-made pies, is served in the pub bar and dining room. The Crown Inn also offers freshly cooked full English breakfasts, with food made using local produce where possible. Langdale Country Club is a 10-minute drive from the Inn. Guests have free access to its large heated pool, steam room, whirlpool spa bath, with spa treatments also available. The Coniston Old Man fell is a mile away, offering beautiful views and hill walks.
