Full English breakfasts are served, and Carlisle Castle is 15 minutes’ walk away. The bright rooms at Cornerways all feature a washbasin, as well as a TV with Freeview channels, and a hot drinks tray with tea and coffee. Some rooms include a DVD player in the room, or an en suite bathroom. Others have access to shared bathroom facilities. Breakfast is provided each morning, with a light continental choice available, with cereals fruits and yoghurts, vegetarian options, or a hearty cooked breakfast. The ancient Roman Hadrian’s Wall is a 10-minute drive away, while Carlisle Cathedral and The Lanes Shopping Centre are both a 10-minute walk from Cornerways. The beauty of the Lake District can be enjoyed 30 minutes away by car.
