Lacet House is situated in the heart of Ambleside, within the scenic Lake District National Park. The town is surrounded by mountains and rolling fells, with the head of Windermere Lake less than 1 mile away. The rooms at the property each feature a flat-screen TV, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities, along with private or en suite bathroom facilities. Many boast impressive views of the countryside. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. In the mornings, the Lacet House serves cooked breakfast, featuring spicy Cumberland sausage. Vegetarian and lighter options are also available. The dining room has been thoughtfully decorated to reflect the atmosphere of a traditional English tearoom. The Ambleside Walk begins from the town centre and includes a trail around the Stock Ghyll Force Waterfalls. Lacet House also offers free private parking.
