On the picturesque harbour of St Mawes, with views of the Roseland Peninsula and beyond, The Rising Sun has an outdoor seating area, restaurant, bar, free parking and free Wi-Fi. The rooms have en suite facilities with a bath, shower, free toiletries and hairdryer. They also feature a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms have sea views. In the morning, guests can enjoy a full English breakfast or a continental buffet option. The restaurant serves traditional English food including local fresh fish, and in the afternoon, homemade scones and cakes are available. The conservatory and the lounge have real fires during the cold months and it is also possible to soak up the sun on the terrace, while enjoying a cup of tea or a glass of wine. St Mawes Castle can be reached in less than 20 minutes on foot and St Mawes Ferry Landing, with ferries to Falmouth and Place Creek, is less than 5 minutes’ walk away.
