Meaning “wooded narrows”, The Coylet is a charming 17th-century inn situated on the pretty shores of Loch Eck. In Scotland’s first National Park, it is surrounded by beautiful scenery and offers free Wi-Fi throughout and free parking on site. Lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant, with a menu featuring homemade soup, pate, and burgers, as well as traditional favourites like salmon, steak, and fish and chips. Every Sunday there is a homemade roast dinner, and dessert options include freshly baked sticky toffee pudding and cranachan. Rooms at The Coylet Inn are cosy and traditionally furnished. Each benefits from picturesque views of the loch, and an en suite bathroom. Situated 40 miles west of Glasgow, the inn is a 40-minute drive from Inveraray. Argyll Forest Park offers plenty of opportunities for walking, climbing and cycling, and you can spot red deer roaming the woodland.
