Originally a farmhouse from 1772, Turbenthal Valley’s Guesthouse Hohmatt features beautifully restored rooms with original elements integrated into the decor. The Turbenthal Train Station is a 10 minute walk away. All modern-style rooms at Guesthouse Hohmatt overlook the garden and contain down duvets and hard-wood floors. There is an iPod docking station, CD player and radio in each room. Private bathrooms come with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. During winter, rooms are heated by the wood-fired tiled stove. A substantial buffet breakfast is served in the lounge. A selection of home-made bread, local cheeses and meats and fresh fruit and juice is provided. In good weather, breakfast is served under the old lime tree in front of the building. Coffee, a small selection of beverages and fresh fruit are available around the clock from the kitchen. Guests have access to free private parking in front of the building and Wi-Fi available in the hotel rooms at a once-off fee. Bicycles can be securely parked in the entrance to the building. A variety of restaurants are available within a 10-minute drive. Zurich Airport and Rapperswil are a 40-minute drive away.
