Situated in Reichenbach im Kandertal, Gasthaus Bären features an à-la-carte restaurant, awarded with 15 points in the Gault Millau Guide as well as mentioned in the Michelin Guide. The restaurant is decorated in rustic style, and serves excellent Swiss and international cuisine using seasonal fresh-market products. In warmer season, guests can also relax in a garden with a large terrace. Special diet menus are available on request, and free Wi-Fi is available in the public areas. Each small wooden hut accommodates a double room with a traditional Alpine character. It is simply furnished and includes a balcony with views of the mountains. Thun is 19 km from the Bären Gasthaus. Alpine skiing is possible in Adelboden 20 km away, and cross-country skiing is available in Kandersteg 18 km away. Free private parking is available on site.
