This mountain station is situated by the Helag Mountain Range, 15 km from Ljungdalen village. It offers free sauna access, direct access to hiking trails and an on-site souvenir shop. Rooms at STF Helags Fjällstation are located in different buildings around the property. All have access to shared outhouse toilets, shared showers and access to a guest kitchen. Waffles, soup and other light dishes are served for lunch. A dinner buffet with dessert is served in the Pilgrimssalen dining room, overlooking the mountains. Sports equipment and basic groceries can be bought in Helags Fjällstation’s shop. Each building has a dryer room for guests’ use. Scooter tracks lead directly to the nearest road, 12 km away. Östersund city centre is 100 km away.
