This 19th-century house is located in La Fontañera, right on the Spanish-Portuguese border. It offers a charming garden with an outdoor pool and fantastic views of Portugal’s São Mamede Nature Reserve. The apartments at Salto del Caballo feature country-style décor, with tiled floors and wooden ceiling beams. Each one has a lounge with a flat-screen TV and fireplace, and a kitchen with a hob and washing machine. Salto del Caballo serves breakfast or other meals on request. There are also barbecue facilities on the terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available in the TV lounge. The hotel is a 35-minute drive from the beautiful Portuguese town of Castelo de Vide. There are numerous hiking and horse riding routes in the surrounding countryside.
