Casa Georgius Krauss is a Unesco certified building dating from 1600 inside the Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara and a 2-minute walk from the central square, offering uniquely designed rooms and a restaurant with 2 terraces. Free WiFi is available in the public areas. This boutique-hotel was the house of chronicler and historian Georg Krauss and comprises individually furnished rooms with design decorations, including original fresco, mediaeval-style or solid wood furniture, and hand carved decorations and stylish bathrooms. Each room is equipped with modern facilities, including a minibar, flat-screen cable TV, a hairdryer and free toiletries. Some also have air-conditioning, while others come with a fireplace. Guests at Casa Georgius Krauss can enjoy Romanian or international dishes and relax on the covered or outdoor terraces. A breakfast room and a bar with a smoking area are also available on site. During the summer, classical music concerts are organized at the property, once in every two weeks. Several shops as well as historical landmarks, such as the Church from the Hill and the Clock Tower can be reached within walking distance. Bicycles can be rented on site and a bus stop is 400 metres away.
