It has an attractive small boulevard. a fishing harbour. tavernas and bars. You can enjoy numerous walking routes through picturesque valleys and gorges here. The island s historic sites including Knossos and Heraklion are well worth a visit. You ll find excavations and historic sites nearer by from the Minoan civilization up to Venetian times.
