Situated on the southern slopes of Mount Fanningberg, the Veitlbauer the hotel offers free transportation to the ski lift, a 10-minute drive away. The nearby ski resorts are called Großeck and Speiereck. Each apartment has its own panoramic balcony. The elegant interiors are decorated with local timber and includes wood-panelled ceilings. Each apartment is self-catering and is equipped with modern cooking facilities and household appliances. Organic butter, bread, and bacon are produced at the Veitlbauer and served in its rustic restaurant Zirbenstube. Guests can relax in the infrared sauna. The property also has a sheltered herbal garden and a natural spring with mineral water. There is also a petting zoo, which includes donkeys, rabbits, and cats. Popular summertime activities include the Mauterndorf Airfield, 4 km away, which is ideal for glider flights. An outdoor swimming pool is found 3 km away. In winter, visitors can enjoy the toboggan run right behind the house.
