Granite cottage, fully restored, close to the hiking area of Serra da Estrela in the north of Portugal. The villa is situated along the edge of the lovely old village Canedo do Mato, surrounded by woods and fields. From the roof terrace, there is a view over the dale of the river Dão. Within only 2km distance, is the town of Mangualde. Viseu is 18km away. Coimbra, Porto (145km.) and Aveiro (sea and beach) are can also be easily reached from the cottage. Serra da Estrela is a rugged chain of mountains where hiking trips can be made.
