Located in the heart of the Alto Douro Wine Region with tranquil surroundings, Solar Quinta da Portela offers air-conditioned accommodation in an 18th century guesthouse. It has an outdoor pool, barbecue facilities and a private vineyard. The chalets are traditionally decorated and have a garden and mountain view. Each features a kitchenette, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries. Quinta da Portela offers rooms with an en suite bathroom. Breakfast is included in the rate and served each morning at the property. Guests can enjoy wine tasting at the Solar Quinta or in the surrounding vineyards. Several restaurants and cafés serving regional and national Portuguese cuisine are located in Vila Real, a 15 minute drive away. Guests can sunbathe poolside on the sun loungers or on the lush grass areas. There are cobble-stoned walkways with gardens and trees. Activities include tennis. There is a children’s playground and a library. Mateus Palace and Vila Real Aerodrome are within a 25-minute drive away. Free parking is available at the B&B.
