Just 100 metres from Alqueva Lake, Aldeia do Lago is made of traditional restored villas spread through Amieira village, typical of the Alentejo region. The villas have been carefully renovated with great attention to detail. Featuring white-washed walls and exposed wooden beams, all villas at Lago come with wrought-iron beds. Some rooms include Arraiolos’ tapestries. Breakfast is delivered at the villas, and a fully equipped kitchen is available in the villas for guests’ comfort. Amieira Marina is less than 3 km, with local restaurants serving traditional cuisine. Located a 20 minutes’ drive away from Amieira village, Reguengos de Monsaraz offers many wineries with wine tasting sessions. Alqueva is a major hub with many kinds of water sports, such as canoeing, sailing, and boating. Portel Castle is less than 15 km away and Beja is 60 km. Both Lisbon and Faro airports are a 2.5-hour drive away.
