970 Lonely Bay Lodge offers luxury boutique B&B accommodation, just 200 metres from Cooks Beach. Guests have a choice of 4 spacious suites, each with an outdoor terrace and en suite bathroom. Facilities at 970 Lonely Bay Lodge Whitianga include a library with fireplace, and a sitting room with plasma-screen TV and sound system. There is also an indoor/outdoor sun terrace with opening roof. Full cooked breakfasts are provided each morning and include a selection of fresh fruit and bakery items. Evening meals can be provided with prior notice. There are also many restaurants in the area. All suites have an extensive minibar, spacious terrace, and views of Purangi Estuary and Cooks Beach. Guests receive a glass of wine accompanied by some fine New Zealand cheeses upon arrival. 970 Lonely Bay Lodge is perfectly located to explore Mercury Bay with a 15-minute walk to a very private and secluded beach at Lonely Bay. Cathedral Cove is a 15-minute drive away.
