Overlooking the Rondane National Park, this hostel is located next to the Folldal Mines. The area is popular with mountain bikers and walkers, and the hostel offers a communal kitchen for its guests. Rooms at Gruvekroa come with a wash basin and writing desk. Bathroom facilities are shared, and bedlinen and towels are provided. Guests can enjoy Gruvekroa’s living area and games room with a TV, as well as an on-site bar and terrace. The hostel also has a kiosk selling a selection of snacks and souvenirs. Folldal National Park Centre can be found on the same site, with a museum and organised visits to the mines. The hostel also has a children’s playground. Dombås is 50 minutes’ drive from the site offering restaurants and cafés, while during the summer there is an on-site restaurant and cafeteria at Gruvekroa.
