The renovated farm is located on a plot of nearly 9000m2, consisting of a garden, meadow and forests. The home is very spacious and luxuriously furnished and has a wellness and relaxation room with a sauna and hot tub. From the back of the farm you have a beautiful wide view of the lands and water toward the beautiful nature area around Giethoorn. The Weerribben-Wieden national park at the top of Overijssel is certainly worth a visit. It is the largest continuous low fen marsh in north-western Europe with many flora and fauna. Get on your bike, in the boat or put on your walking shoes and explore the forest, reed and water landscapes which are plentiful in this region. Characteristic Giethoorn is about 8 km away in is known for its many small canals, bridges and picturesque farms. Giethoorn also has a great deal of recreation and relaxation to offer. The wider area also offers a great deal of pleasure, such as the old fortified town of Steenwijk, with many canals and city walls. The town of Meppel, with its rich commercial past is certainly worth a visit. There are many monumental buildings and the Great Church with its 15th century towers.
