The apartment on the ground floor is spacious and comfortably furnished and has a balcony with a view of a large grassy field and the Ripperda barracks. The historic town centre of Haarlem offers many sights and museums, such as the Frans Hals museum. The charming centre has a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. The beach at Bloemendaal aan Zee is only 8 km away, about 10 minutes by car. The lovely cycling route from Haarlem to Bloemendaal an Zee is a great ride through a lovely forest and dune area. And you can't miss a trip to Amsterdam. The centre of the city is 20 km away, and is easily accessible from Haarlem with public transport (train and bus). Sights include the mills of the Zaanse Schans (27km), the city of Alkmaar (33km), known for its cheese market, and the Keukenhof in Lisse (20km).
