Beautiful holiday home in the foothills of the Hunsrück located around Idar-Oberstein. In the landscape between the Moselle and the Rhin you will find peace and relaxation and you can take wonderful walks. The German Gemstone Route leads you along various beautiful villages such as Idar-Oberstein and Herrstein. which specialize in the processing of gemstones. You can view the art of gemstone cutting. take an excursion to the mineral region or cut your own stones. Herrstein has many sights with its Schinderhannes towers. its medieval village centre and beautiful half-timbered houses. In Idar-Oberstein. the middle point of the Gemstone Route. you will find beautiful Felskerk with its beautiful furnishings. You cant miss out on a visit to the museum. Idar-Oberstein is a great travel destination all through the year. It is lovely for walking in the autumn. There are various lifts present so you can go up the mountain. There are many sled tracks. Nordic tracks and walking routes. and in the Christmas season you simply must visit one of the many Christmas markets.
