This youth hostel is situated just a 10-minute walk from Stuttgart Main Station and the Königsstraße shopping mile. Jugendherberge Stuttgart has a terrace with panoramic views of central Stuttgart. The simply furnished rooms and dormitories at Jugendherberge Stuttgart International all include a seating area and a private bathroom with shower. Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Buffets are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the dining room. Laundry facilities are available, and free lockers and a storage room for luggage are provided. Guests are welcome to play the piano or enjoy a game of pool (billiards) or table football. There is also a TV room, as well as a common lounge on every floor. The 24-hour reception includes a tour desk and ticket service, and on-site parking is free. Stuttgart Youth Hostel is 300 metres from the Staatsgalerie art gallery and 4 km from the Mercedes-Benz-Museum.

All guests need to be members of the DJH (German Youth Hostel Association) or Hostelling International. Membership can be purchased at the reception upon arrival. It costs EUR 12.50 per year for German guests up to the age of 26, and EUR 21 for families, or for guests aged 27 and older. From June onwards in each year, individuals purchasing a DJH membership for the first time are only charges 50% for that year's membership. International guests who do not already have a Hostelling International card (EUR 18.00) can purchase daily membership, which costs EUR 3.50 per night for up to 6 nights.
