Only a 5-minute drive from Altenberg bobsleigh track, this family-run hostel is quietly situated in the Ore Mountain region. It offers buffet breakfasts, a sauna and direct access to cross county-ski trails. Warmly decorated rooms, with scenic views of the surrounding forest feature at Jugendherberge Altenberg. Each is fitted with a wash basin and shared bathroom facilities can be found in the hallway. Each morning, a hearty buffet breakfast is served in the welcoming dining room. Guests can make the most of the on-site barbecue facilities during the summer months. Winter sports enthusiasts will find Altenberg ski lift is just 1 km away. Guests staying at the DJH Jugendherberge Altenberg must be a member of the Deutschen Jugendherbergswerk or the Youth Hostel Association. Free temporary membership can be acquired on arrival at the property. The DJH Landesverbands (German Youth Hostel Associaton) Westfalen-Lippe's terms and conditions will be sent to you separately by the property following reservation. This is an additional policy specific to the property, in addition to the standard policies.
