Hotel Monte Azul is located in the rainforest just a few minutes’ drive from the entrance to Chirripó National Park. It offers spectacular modern suites with private terraces and a mini kitchen. Monte Azul is set in a private estate of 125 acres, which includes part of the Chirripó River. The grounds also include creeks, waterfalls and a great range of animals and exotic plants. The stylish suites all face directly onto the rainforest. They have a lounge area, a modern bathroom and private garden. All suites have free Wi-Fi, Egyptian cotton sheets, and are decorated with original artworks. Guests are welcomed with organic coffee, grown on site, as well as handmade organic soap. It includes an eco-friendly centre for art and design that encourages meditation. Art workshops are organized. You can also enjoy a range of in-room spa treatments. Guests can go hiking through the private grounds, or spend time at the hot springs. The restaurant offers wonderful, organic dishes using local products, and there is a bar offering cocktails.
