Trogon House offers treetop accommodation in the Tsitsikamma Forest, 15 minutes’ drive from the beaches of Plattenberg Bay. It features a lounge with antique furniture and stone fireplace, a pool with wooden sundeck and a spa. All of the rooms include a flat-screen satellite TV and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the surrounding indigenous forest. Some have a private furnished balcony or a spacious lounge. A daily continental or cooked breakfast is served in the Palazzo Dining Suite and 3-course dinners can be arranged on request. Drinks can be ordered at the bar and enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the pool. The Forest Spa includes a hot tub and sauna. Various natural treatments and massages can be enjoyed while relaxing with an outlook to the forest. Situated on the Garden Route, Trogon House and Forest Spa is a 20-minute drive from Nature’s Valley. Birds of Eden bird sanctuary is within 2 minutes by car.

Directions from Cape Town:
Trogon House and Forest Spa is situated about 150 km from Mossel Bay and about 50 km from Knysna. The location is The Crags, which is 16 km east from Plettenberg Bay.
- Take the N2 towards Knysna and Plettenberg Bay and continue past Keurboomstrand to The Crags.
- You will notice a Monkeyland sign on the N2, near the BP Garage (the Garage is also known as the Garden Route Superrette).
- Take the turn-off on the right at the BP Garage and follow the Monkeyland signs for a further 2km.
- The entrance to Trogon House is situated in the car park of Monkeyland.
- The road to Trogon House is indicated with a sign marked "Trogon House & Forest Spa”. Here you enter a dirt road that takes a you straight into the forest.
- After a 1.4km drive along the fence of Monkeyland a sign will direct you to turn right to the Trogon House carpark.
Please note that you are driving into the forest to get to Trogon House and the last 1.4 km is a dirt road which is subject to weather conditions and can sometimes be uneven and muddy after rain but is fine for a normal 2x4 car.
