- After Houw Hoek pass take the R43 Botrivier/Hermanus turnoff to your left.
- Continue on the N43 past Hawston, Vermont and traffic lights at Onrusrivier.
- Before Hermanus, at the next traffic lights at Engen petrol station & Hemel & Aarde complex turn right into sandbaai - into main street.
- At the second 4-Way stop sign, at 3rd avenue turn left.
- Continue to next stop (3rd avenue meets piet retief crescent) - see Schulphoek entrance (3 flags) on the left.
The scenic route (from Cape Town via the coast) R44:
- Distance 120 km.
- Driving time approximately 90 minutes.
- Take N2 towards somerset west.
- Turn left at R44 to strand (just past the shell garage).
- Proceed to strand until Gordons Bay.
-Travel on R44 along the coastal road,clarence drive to Rooiels, Hangklip, Bettys Bay and Kleinmond.
- Continue through Kleinmond and join R43 to Hermanus.
- Continue past Hawston, Vermont and traffic lights at Onrusrivier.
- Before Hermanus town, at the next traffic lights at Engen petrol station & Hemel & Aarde complex turn right into Sandbaai - into main street.
