Located amongst the surrounding vineyards, Blue Gum Country Estate offers cottages and rooms with a sun terrace and panoramic views. Guests can relax beside the outdoor pool surrounded by sun loungers. The spacious rooms all come with a private bathroom with a bath and shower. The cottages contain a lounge area with an open fireplace and TV. The suite has a four-poster bed draped in a mosquito net. A fresh breakfast is prepared daily and served in the dining room, with large windows letting in natural light. Dinner can be provided upon request and enjoyed with a selection of wine from the cellar. Guests can use one of the free bikes available to explore the countryside or a personalised tour can be arranged. Local attractions include horse riding and quad biking. Free private parking is available on site and the Blue Gum Country Estate is a 2-hour drive from Cape Town. Free Wi-Fi is available in the reception and the restaurant.

Travelling from the Garden Route along the N2, the R326 turn-off on the left and, sign post to Stanford, is about 10 km after you pass through the town of Riviersonderend.
The distance from the turn-off of the N2 onto the R326 after Riviersonderend is about 55 km.
Travelling from Cape Town via Hermanus:
- Take the Hermanus turn-off from the N2 just after Houw Hoek Pass;
- Proceed through Hermanus following the signs to Stanford/Gansbaai.
- As you approach the town of Stanford there is a two-way stop; turn left onto the R326 past the Birkenhead Brewery and proceed for 5 km;
- Look out for the turn-off and follow the signs along the gravel road next to White Water Lodge.
