- If you approach De Rust after a fantastic journey through Meiringspoort (or Willowmore) and you see De Rust’s first houses (by day), you only have to look to the highest point in town to see the double storey house perched on the edge of town.
- Turn left just after the little supermarket and Herrie’s Pub and Grill - where the little purple elephant is, at Steytler Street.
- The road will take you straight up the hill - which becomes a bit steep towards the end.
- When you are almost at the top of the hill, the road naturally curves to the right into Vrede Street.
- De Rust View Guest House is the first house on your left.
- For a more relaxed approach, take the next street - Church Street.
From Oudtshoorn:
- When approaching from Oudtshoorn, turn right just after the OK supermarket.
- Go straight to the top and turn left again in Vrede Street. De Rust View Guest House is the last house on the right.
