This resort offers spacious, self-catering accommodation 12.5 km away from Olifants West Game Reserve. Hippo Pools Resort includes a wooden sun deck where guests are served meals on request, snacks and drinks overlooking a large pool. All of the air-conditioned rooms and apartments have a barbecue, a fully equipped kitchenette, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and a private bathroom. Some have a private pool or views of the Olifant River. Cool drinks, snacks and curio items can be bought at the on-site shop, and the large dining area and chapel are ideal for functions and weddings. The games room with table tennis, billiards and a dart board also overlooks the pool. By car, Hippo Pools is located 25 km from Hoedspruit. It also features its own 800-metre tarred runway for those travelling by private plane. The entrance to Kruger National Park is 52 km away.
