Situated at the banks of the Umtamvuna River, this lodge offers a private beach and an outdoor pool with a sun deck. Umtamvuna Nature Reserve is located a 15-minute walk away. The air-conditioned rooms feature a private entrance with a balcony overlooking the tropical garden. All bright rooms include a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. The River Lodge offers a daily breakfast and guests can enjoy snacks at the pool or at the cocktail bar. A selection of restaurants can be found within a 5-minute walk from the property. Guest can enjoy water sports at the river and make use of the paddle boat rental provided by the lodge. Charter services for fishing trips are also available upon request. The lodge is 18 km from Margate Airport and 32 km by car from Mkambati Airport. For guest arriving by train, Paddock is a 1-hour drive away.
