This lodge is set just 5 minutes’ walk from the beach in the village of Beachview and features an outdoor swimming pool. All of the rooms offer views of the Indian Ocean and have free Wi-Fi. Each of the bright rooms at Big Blue Beach Lodge is individually furnished with light décor. All have an en suite bathroom with a bath or a shower and some rooms come with a balcony. A full English breakfast is offered each day in the breakfast room. Guests can also use the barbecue facilities and dinner is also available by prior arrangement. Activities in the area include Maitland Local Authority nature reserve which is just over 5 km away. Port Elizabeth is 31 km from the lodge, and Jeffery's Bay is just under 70 km away. DIRECTIONS FROM PORT ELIZABETH AIRPORT
- As you drive out of the airport turn left.
- Turn left again at the first traffic light.
- There will be a road sign indicating Seaview.
- You are now on Heugh road which becomes Buffelsfontein rd and then Seaview rd.
- Stay on this road for approximately 25 km's. You will then reach Seaview.
- When you see the Spar centre on your right look out for a turn off on your left.
- Turn left here into Elizabeth rd.
- Drive for approximately 4 km's until you reach Beachview. (Elizabeth rd forks left, but stay on the right hand road. You will drive out of Seaview and then reach Beachview.)
- Take the second right into Beachview Drive.
- Take the first right into Seestrand rd.
- Take the first left into Mackerel rd.
- We are no. 20 - the big sand coloured house with a thatch roof. (Note that the house is not blue)
